Seeing a SmartScreen or Antivirus Prompt?
That's normal for a new independent app. IconStyler is digitally signed, and it only changes your icons, never your files. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue.
Good to know
A few things worth knowing before you install.
What's new in IconStyler 2.0?
A full redesign, plus Live Folders, Icon Guard, Personalize and an Overview you can arrange your way. The Changelog lists everything in this release.
Does IconStyler move or delete my files?
No. It only changes the icon Windows shows. It never moves, renames, or deletes your files, and any change can be reversed.
Why does Windows show a SmartScreen or antivirus prompt?
IconStyler is digitally signed, but it's a new app from a small independent studio, so Windows may not know it yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. The warning goes away on its own as more people install IconStyler.
Will my changes survive restarts and Windows updates?
Yes, icon changes stay after a restart. A big Windows feature update can occasionally reset some icons. If that happens, open IconStyler and re-apply your profile. On Lifetime, Icon Guard also puts your app icons back after app updates.
Is IconStyler free?
Yes. It's free to start, with no account needed. The $19.99 Lifetime unlock adds everything else and is a one-time payment, with updates included. Anything you change on Free stays yours.
Do I need an admin account?
Not for most changes. A few protected system icons may ask for a one-time admin confirmation.
How do I undo a change or put everything back?
To undo one icon, open it and click Restore Windows default. To put everything back, open Troubleshoot and click Reset all icons. Planning to uninstall? Use Reset all icons first: uninstalling puts Live Folders back to normal, but icons you changed stay until you reset them.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 11 (64-bit). Support for more Windows versions is on the roadmap.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Open Community or Support from the top menu. If something goes wrong, Settings has Export app data, which saves one file you can send us. Your feedback shapes what ships next.
